Company History

Kestrel Engineering having been established in 1989, continually grew in stature and reputation under the guidance of its founder Mr George Walker.

When the time came for expansion, two fellow control valve technicians joined George as directors of Kestrel Valve & Engineering Services Ltd which was formed in April 1997.

Mr George Walker continues as Managing Director with specific areas of responsibility for Sales & Marketing.

Mr Shaun Chandler joined from Serck Glocon where he held the position of Service Supervisor. He has specific areas of responsibility for Production and Quality Assurance.

Mr Peter Walker joined from Valtek Engineering where he also held the position of Service Supervisor. He has specific areas of responsibility for Site Services and HSE.

1999 saw the company achieve status as an ISO 9002 registered firm gaining the certificate number GB5110.

In January 2000 Mr Geoff Holyland joined the company as Technical Director. Joining from Flowserve Valtek where he held the position of Customer Services Manager, he has specific areas of responsibility for Engineering, IT, Finance and Commercial.

December 2000 saw the company further expand into larger premises. Our new location is a purpose designed, fully kitted, 5000 ft² valve workshop which saw a 200 valve shutdown in the first few weeks of operation.
